Providers are learning more and more that quality of care is not just about treatment results, but also about patient experience and satisfaction.
As healthcare organizations continue to drive quality initiatives, the CNO title will take off in importance in the coming years. Providers are learning more and more that quality of care is not just about treatment results, but also about patient experience and satisfaction. CNOs possess a strong influence over that level of satisfaction as nurses play an irreplaceable role in ensuring that a patient’s time in a healthcare facility is positive. The CNO’s role as representative of a facility’s overall performance, which is largely driven by patient satisfaction, was reflected in those elements which seem to contribute to a CNO’s wage increase decision as 64.3% of CNO respondents reported that company performance acted as the majority factor in the decision to increase their pay.
Our survey revealed that a large percentage of those who responded with the title of CNO, 64.7%, reported a salary increase in the past five years. Most, 33.3%, reported within the 2% wage increase range, but some, 6.7%, reported a 4.5% wage increase and others, also 6.7%, even reported a 5% wage increase.FREE DOWNLOAD
