Reuters reports healthcare is the first issue Americans want President-elect Donald J. Trump to focus on in 2017.
According to a Reuters/Ipsos poll, about 21% of Americans want Trump to focus on the healthcare system in the United States during his first 100 days in the White House beginning Jan. 20.
The second issue behind healthcare is jobs, with 16% percent of Americans wanting jobs to be Trump’s first concerns. Immigration rounded out the top three, with 14%. Approximately 11% chose race relations.
“We can’t afford it – that’s the problem,” said Daphne Saunders, 50, of LaFollette, Tennessee, who took the Reuters/Ipsos poll, explaining why she picked healthcare as the top issue.
