MyTelemedicine, a national telehealth service and technology provider, announced the launch of the first web and mobile telehealth advanced application programming interface (API). The unveiling of the new API presents healthcare and wellness companies with a tool to seamlessly integrate real-time physician access by secure Video and Telephone, to create a customized telehealth experience for their patients and members, according to a press release from MyTelemedicine.

During a recent interview, Rey Colon, founder and CEO of MyTelemedicine, made these comments: “The MyTelemedicine Advanced API allows us to reach the entire global digital healthcare market and truly encourage the adoption of telehealth.”

The consulting physicians can view the patient’s HIPAA-compliant electronic health records, including past medical history, previously diagnosed conditions, current medications, and allergies. Physicians’ SOAP notes and comments are immediately uploaded to the member’s health records for future reference and all diagnosis’s are attached with an ICD code for claims processing.

“Leveraging the latest in Cloud-based technologies, our platform was built to be flexible and scalable,” said Jesse Roach, co-founder and CTO. “We took an API-first approach which enables healthcare organizations to quickly develop feature-rich applications using the MyTelemedicine advanced API.”
